Welcome to the Hume Maths website – do take the time and have a look around! Click on the titles above to enjoy all on offer here!

The Youtube Directory is the place where you can find all the Youtube playlists where I go into detail explaining various topics in maths. If you are in the Caribbean you will be able to connect these playlists directly to subject matter in the CSEC Maths Syllabus and CSEC Add.Maths Syllabus, both of which can be found on the CSEC Syllabi and Specimen Papers page. If you are not from the Caribbean your syllabus may not be on this website. I encourage you however to get your syllabus and connect the subject matter to the playlists and videos in the Youtube Directory; and if you wish to share your syllabus, feel free to email it to me via the e-mail address on the Contacts and Social Media page. You can see some of my publications and books on the Notes and Books page, and on the Links page you will find helpful maths links on the internet. If you have a link you want to share, you may send it via email.

On the Algebra Start-Up page we take a guided tour of the algebra, one topic at a time with practice exercises. You can slow down and take your time so that you will eventually get faster (and most importantly, more ACCURATE). You can access now CSEC Past Papers and Solutions!

Get your syllabus, print it in hardcopy, keep it close, and USE IT! Take responsibility for your learning. The material in the YouTube videos is provided freely for your use as you prepare on your own, with other teachers, or with other materials.

Check out the Hume Maths Social Media! - the guiding philosophy and rationale can be found on TikTok and Instagram in the form of excerpts from class sessions and short videos. Longer videos and detailed playlists on Youtube provide extra technical detail. The long videos and other posts on issues of mathematical significance can be found on Facebook. Stay tuned to this website!….in the words of the great calypsonian Black Stalin, ‘more come!’

All success on your mathematical journey!

Yours Sincerely,
Christian A. Hume
